So how wealthy is Cheryl Ladd now? It is estimated by sources that the size of Ladd’s net worth is over $8 million, as of early 2016. Obviously, most of her income is the result of her successful involvement in the television and film industry. Television series, a number of movies, several albums as well as her latest career as an author, have helped accumulate Ladd’s wealth.

In her early childhood, Ladd showed great interest in singing, dancing and acting. During her high-school years, she began singing with a local band called The Music Shop Band, who started a tour to try and make it professionally. However, the band eventually broke up, and Ladd decided to stay in Los Angeles and pursue her dream.
She started her career in music as “Cherie Moor” in 1970. Her first professional break was singing backup on the cartoon series “Josie and the Pussycats”. She soon began acting in various commercials, episodic television as well as making guest appearances on popular TV shows such as “The Rookies”, “The Partridge Family” and “Happy Days”. In 1973 she landed her first movie role in “The Treasure of Jamaica Reef”. Her net worth at least had a base.
In 1976, Ladd lost the role of Nancy in the series “Family”, however, the producers had another hit series called “Charlie’s Angels” for which they were in search of a replacement for actress Farrah Fawcett, who had unexpectedly left the year-old TV sensation. Ladd accepted the offer and in 1977 started to play the role of Kris Munroe. The show enjoyed an astonishing popularity with audiences around the world and brought Ladd instant fame and a considerable net worth, and eventually brought her the 2010 TV Land Pop Culture Award. Ladd spent four years in “Charlie’s Angels” show, then took the opportunity of her fame to further pursue her musical career, and released four albums – “Cheryl Ladd” in 1978, “Dance Forever” in 1979, “Take a Chance” in 1981 and “You Make It Beautiful” in 1982. In the meantime, Ladd developed and starred in the ABC telefilm “When She Was Bad”, dealing with the subject of child abuse.
When “Charlie’s Angels” ended in 1981, Ladd remained a familiar face on television. She appeared in the 1984 war movie “Purple Hearts”, the 1989 “Millenium”, and the 1992 “Poison Ivy”. In 1994 she found herself returning to television, starring in a new crime/drama series “One West Waikiki”, and her other movie appearances of the late 90s included the 1998 movie “Permanent Midnight”, based on a turbulent life of Hollywood writer and drug addict, and the 1999 “A Dog of Flanders”, a Warner Bros’ remake of the children classic. Her net worth was steady.
Ladd took on Broadway in 2000 in the revival of the movie “Annie Get Your Gun”, in which she played the title role but was later replaced by Reba McEntire. She starred in the 2002 movie “Her Best Friend’s Husband”, the 2004 “Eve’s Christmas”, the 2006 “Though None Go With Me” as well as in the 2008 “Baggage”. She also made guest appearances in the series “Charmed” in 2003 and in 2004 in “Hope and Faith”. Ladd starred in “Las Vegas” between 2003 and 2008, and guest-starred in “CSI: Miami” in 2009 and “NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service” and “Chuck” in 2011. The same year she filmed the movie “Love’s Everlasting Courage”. To date, Cheryl has been involved in more than 80 film and TV productions.
Aside from her singing and acting career, Ladd has published two books, one being a 1996 children’s book “The Adventures of Little Nettie Windship” and the other an autobiographical piece recounting her experiences of golf, “Token Chick: A Woman’s Guide to Golfing With the Boys”.
In her personal life, Cheryl Ladd was married to actor David Ladd from 1973 to 1980, whose last name she kept after their divorce; they have a daughter Jordan. In 1981 the actress married music producer Bryan Russell, and became a stepparent to his daughter Lindsay.
Ladd is a tireless humanitarian, including as an ambassador for the child abuse prevention and treatment charity ChildHelp that awarded her the “Woman of the World Award” in 1987. She had the honor of becoming the first woman to receive the prestigious “Hubert H. Humphrey Humanitarian Award” from the Washington D.C. Touchdown Club for her philanthropy. She is also the figurehead of an educational campaign, an awareness initiative for women about the importance of seeing a doctor at the beginning of menopause.
