Brooklyn woman killed when two hit-and-run drivers strike her on NYC street
A 79-year-old woman was killed when two hit-and-run drivers plowed into her on a Brooklyn street Thursday evening, according to cops.
The elderly victim was crossing New York Avenue around 6:30 p.m. in Crown Heights when she was hit by a gray Nissan Rogue turning left from Herkimer Street, police said.
Soon after, another driver in a white Toyota Sienna hit the pedestrian, police said.
The woman was found unresponsive by authorities and pronounced dead at the scene, the NYPD said. Her identity has not been released.
Both drivers fled the scene and are being sought by police.
The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the fatal crashes.
