Matthew Richard Stone is an American actor born on May 26, 1971, in Houston, Texas, in the United States. Houston is the most populous city in Texas and in the Southern United States.

In 1993, Matt Stone graduated with a double-major Bachelor of Arts degree. Matt Stone and Parker moved to Los Angles and wrote their second film, Orgazmo in 1997.

Matt Stone has been the recipient of various awards over the course of his career, including five Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on South Park, as well as three Tony Awards and one Grammy Award for the Book of Mormon.
